How we handle the information you share with us.
Last updated: August 27, 2026
Who We Are
Reliable Attorney Service ("RAS," "we," "us," or "our") is a registered and bonded California process serving and legal support company based in Glendale, California. This policy explains what information we collect through reliableattorneyservice.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
This policy covers our website only. It does not cover the separate eFiling portal operated by LegalConnect, or any other third-party site we link to.
Information You Give Us
When you submit a form on this site, request a quote, place an order, or contact us, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your firm or organization name and your role, if you tell us
- The service you need and how quickly you need it
- The name of a company or person to be served, and the address where service should be attempted
- Any message, notes, or deadline information you include
- Any document you choose to attach to a form
Form submissions are delivered to us by email. We do not require you to create an account on this website, and we do not ask for payment card details through this site.
Documents You Upload
Some of our forms let you attach a PDF of your legal paperwork so we can quote or begin work. Please be aware that legal documents frequently contain sensitive information about you and about other people, including third parties who are not our clients.
We treat uploaded documents as confidential and use them only to evaluate and perform the service you requested. Uploads are transmitted to our email system as attachments. If your documents are especially sensitive, or if you are under a protective order or sealing order, call us at (818) 488-0664 before uploading and we will arrange an appropriate method of delivery.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, we and our analytics providers automatically collect certain technical information when you visit, including:
- IP address and general location derived from it (typically city-level)
- Browser type, device type, operating system, and screen size
- Pages viewed, links clicked, time on page, and the site or ad you arrived from
- Scroll and click activity used to produce anonymized heatmaps and session recordings
We use this to understand which pages are useful, to fix problems, and to measure whether our advertising is working. We do not use it to try to identify you personally.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiry and provide a quote
- Perform the process serving, filing, retrieval, or related service you ordered
- Prepare and return your proof of service or filed documents
- Communicate with you about your order, including payment arrangements
- Keep records required for our business and for California process server obligations
- Protect our forms against spam and abuse
- Understand site usage and improve our website and services
- Measure the effectiveness of our advertising
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not send marketing newsletters to people who simply fill out a quote form.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
This site uses cookies and similar technologies for three purposes:
- Necessary. Cookies that make the site work, keep form submissions secure, and protect against cross-site request forgery. These cannot be turned off without breaking the site.
- Analytics. Cookies that tell us how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
- Advertising. Cookies that let us measure whether someone who clicked one of our ads went on to contact us, including calls placed from an ad.
You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking analytics and advertising cookies will not prevent you from using this site or contacting us.
Third-Party Services We Use
We use the following third-party services on this website. Each operates under its own privacy policy, and information collected through them is governed by those policies:
- Google Analytics — website traffic and usage measurement. See Google's Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab). You can opt out across all sites using Google's browser add-on (opens in a new tab).
- Google Ads — advertising and conversion measurement, including tracking calls placed from our ads. You can manage ad personalization at Google My Ad Center (opens in a new tab).
- Google reCAPTCHA v3 — protects our forms from automated abuse. It collects hardware and software information and behavioral signals for the purpose of spam detection, subject to Google's Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab) and Terms of Service (opens in a new tab).
- Microsoft Clarity — anonymized heatmaps and session replay that show how visitors navigate our pages. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement (opens in a new tab).
- Elfsight — powers the customer review display and the floating call button.
- Google Fonts and content delivery networks — deliver fonts, icons, and styles. Your browser requests these files directly from those providers, which means your IP address is visible to them.
- LegalConnect — operates the separate eFiling portal we link to. Anything you enter there is governed by LegalConnect's own privacy policy and terms.
When We Share Information
We share your information only as needed to do the work you hired us for, or where the law requires it. Specifically:
- To perform your service. Completing a job necessarily involves disclosing the documents and the name and address of the party to be served to the process server assigned, and where applicable to affiliate servers outside our coverage area, courts, clerks, and registered agents.
- To the courts. Proofs of service and filed documents become part of a court record, which is generally public.
- To service providers. Our email, hosting, analytics, and skip tracing vendors process information on our behalf.
- When legally required. In response to a subpoena, court order, or other lawful request, or to establish or defend legal claims.
- In a business transfer. If our business is sold or reorganized, records may transfer as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose your contact details to unrelated companies for their own marketing.
Skip Tracing
When you ask us to locate someone, we use licensed investigative databases, including TransUnion's TLOxp, to search for current address, phone, and employment information about the person you have identified. We use these tools only for permissible purposes connected to a legal matter you have engaged us on, and we return results only to the client who requested them.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep order records, proofs of service, and related correspondence for as long as needed to provide our services, resolve disputes, and meet our legal, accounting, and recordkeeping obligations, including those applicable to California registered process servers. Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings of the analytics provider. When information is no longer needed, we dispose of it in a manner appropriate to its sensitivity.
Security
This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and our forms are protected against automated abuse and cross-site request forgery. We limit access to client information to the people who need it to do the work.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Email in particular is not a secure channel. If a matter is highly sensitive, please call us at (818) 488-0664 rather than sending details through a web form.
Your Choices
- Cookies. Adjust or clear cookies in your browser settings at any time.
- Analytics. Opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on linked above.
- Advertising. Manage ad personalization through Google My Ad Center.
- Access, correction, or deletion. Contact us and we will work with you on any request regarding information you have given us, subject to records we are required to retain.
- Communications. Tell us at any time to stop contacting you about a quote or inquiry.
California Privacy Rights
We are a California business and we take California privacy law seriously. We do not sell personal information for money. Please note that under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, the use of advertising and analytics cookies can be considered "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can limit this by using the opt-out links above and by managing cookies in your browser.
If you are a California resident and would like to know what information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion, contact us using the details below and we will respond. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Children's Privacy
This website is intended for attorneys, legal professionals, and adults handling legal matters. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to Other Sites
Our site links to third-party sites, including the LegalConnect eFiling portal and our Yelp page. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our services, vendors, or legal obligations change. The revision date at the top of this page reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be posted here.
